Meet Ambar

My journey into motherhood wasn’t easy. I experienced a difficult birth and postpartum depression. As I healed, I realized no family should have to walk this path unsupported. That realization inspired me to become a doula and dedicate my work to helping parents feel seen, heard, and cared for during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I believe birth is a natural, sacred, and empowering life passage — and I hold space for families with compassion, knowledge, and respect for their unique journey.

Closing the Bones Ceremony

A traditional postpartum ritual designed to nurture and restore the body after birth.

  • Gentle rebozo wrapping and massage

  • Guided relaxation and grounding practices

  • Support for both physical and emotional healing

Rooted in the wisdom of Mexican midwifery, this ceremony offers a way to gently “close” the body after the openness of pregnancy and childbirth. Using woven shawls (rebozos), mindful massage, and intentional wrapping, it helps realign the pelvis, support abdominal muscles, and create a sense of being safely held.

Beyond its physical benefits, Closing the Bones is also a powerful way to honor your transition into motherhood—a moment to pause, receive care, and feel deeply supported during this tender stage of life.

C&J

First-Time Parents, Hospital Birth

Ambar was my birth and postpartum doula for my first baby. She made me trust my body and guided me through a beautiful, non-medicated water birth at the hospital. Her calm presence turned labor into a positive experience. Afterwards, she cared for our baby overnight so I could rest, which was invaluable. Thank you, Ambar.
